Dr. B. Zhou is the deputy dean of Department of Environmental Science & Engineering, Fudan University. He obtained Ph.D. from Anhui Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, CAS in 2002. He worked as the visiting scholar in the satellite remote sensing research group at Max Planck Institute, Germany and in Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR), Germany in 2007, 2008 and 2015. His research interests include environmental remote sensing, ground validation for satellite data, and analysis and retrieval of trace gas based on optical spectrometry. His research group also focuses on the development and application of the Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy (DOAS) system. He is now the chief scientist of a national key research program (atmospheric science), 2016.He has also been PIs of the National 863 projects, meteorological research projects and several Provincial and Ministerial research projects. He has published over 40 SCI papers and holds more than 10 Chinese patents.
