Dr. L. Wang is the Deputy Dean of Department of Environmental Science & Engineering, Fudan University. He obtained his Ph.D. in environmental toxicology from UC Riverside, USA in 2006. Prior to joining Fudan, Dr. Wang worked as a postdoctor and assistant research scientist at UC Riverside and Texas A&M University, USA, respectively. Dr. Wang’s research field is atmospheric chemistry and physics, with current focuses on mechanisms for atmospheric nucleation and new particle formation in China, SOA tracers formed through heterogeneous and aqueous reactions, and ageing of atmospheric particles. He and his co-worker demonstrated the heterogeneous reaction of organics and H2SO4 is an importance mechanism for the growth of newly-formed atmospheric particles. Dr. Wang is an awardee of Shanghai Pujiang Scholar by STCSM (2011), NFSC Outstanding Young Scholar (2012), Newton Advanced Fellowship (2014), and National Youth Talent in Environmental Protection by Ministry of Environment Protection (2013).
